Description
Primary Duties: Prepare patients for office visits as directed by the supervising physician; administer immunizations and other treatments/services under the direction of physicians; process all referrals for special services, such as radiology and other diagnostic testing, in a timely manner; communicate with parents/guardians regarding follow-up appointments; document all referral-related information; ensure that patients are referred to in-network specialists; track results of outside testing for timely follow-up; ensure that vaccines and other medications are stored properly; ensure that appropriate documentation regarding patient services is maintained according to policy; process patient related correspondence for supervising physician; act as liaison between physician and patient as needed; act as resource for medical assistants as needed.
Secondary Duties: Ensure that medical supplies are stocked appropriately; ensure that standard infection control measures are taken throughout the clinic; assist with lab as needed; serve as telephone triage nurse in her absence; assist in other areas as directed by the clinic administrator in order to facilitate operations of the clinic.

1. The ability to handle multiple requests in an organized and professional manner.
2. The ability to conduct patient education as directed by the physician.
3. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining performance expectations.
4. The ability to calculate correct doses as ordered by the physician.
5. The ability to clearly communicate with parents and children.
6. The ability to organize tasks and keep accurate records.
7. The ability to identify specific reports and file appropriately in medical records.
8. The ability to meet customer service expectations in a friendly, professional manner.
Physical Requirements: LPNs must demonstrate the following physical abilities:
1. The ability to pick-up/hold infants and appropriately restrain older children.
2. The ability to tolerate extensive time seated at a computer.
3. The ability to tolerate extensive walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
4. The ability to carry 20-25 charts at a time.
5. The ability to safely use a step stool.
6. The ability to speak and hear clearly on the telephone.
7. The ability to sit at a computer and clearly visualize the screen.
